HSSE POLICY

W aim to manage all our activities effectively in terms of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) for the benefit of our employees, contractors, customers, and the community.

In line with this, to achieve our goals, we have established Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Strategies:

• Principle: We are committed to prioritizing human health, occupational safety, and environmental sensitivity in all our activities.
• Leadership and Commitment: We will ensure that our managers lead by example in implementing HSSE Policy elements and that our employees and stakeholders remain committed to these policies.
• Regulatory Compliance: We will fully comply with applicable regulations, relevant standards, and other requirements.
• Risk Management: We will continuously assess health, safety, and environmental risks (threats and opportunities) throughout our activities, taking preventive measures to minimize risks to the lowest level, and integrating human health, safety, and environmental considerations into all decision-making processes, with a focus on sustainability.
• Appropriate Working Conditions: We will provide working conditions that meet HSSE standards to protect our employees' health and prevent occupational diseases.
• Emergency Management: We will be prepared to respond effectively in case of emergencies.
• Environmental Management: We will minimize our environmental impact by using energy and natural resources efficiently, monitoring emissions and other environmental effects, ensuring waste recycling, evaluating the life cycle approach effectively, supporting sustainability, and providing necessary human, financial, technological, and other resources.
• Change Management: When internal or external changes occur within our operations, we will assess the threats and opportunities created by these changes to achieve our defined objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: To ensure continuous improvement in HSSE and achieve our goals, we will monitor and audit our targets and performance indicators, provide training to our employees and contractors to increase awareness, consider feedback and suggestions from our employees, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure their participation, foster collaborations, and share best practices.
• In our health-related activities, the foremost priority is “the individual.” Therefore, we ensure that necessary health checks are conducted for our employees to start work in good health and continue working while maintaining their health. We perform all mandatory pre-employment and periodic health examinations in compliance with regulations. Additionally, based on the evaluations of our workplace doctors, we determine and continuously monitor the specific health checks required for the work performed by our employees.

SAFETY

To achieve our zero-accident goal, we manage our activities in accordance with the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and publish our performance metrics in our sustainability report, reflecting our principle of transparency. We conduct our operations in a manner that respects regulations, standards, and procedures, while being mindful of the community. We prioritize the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and neighbors, and align our business continuity goals with ensuring a healthy and safe working environment.

• Technological Advancements: We ensure our systems are made safer through the application of technological advancements.
• Safety Culture: We implement measures to enhance and maintain safety culture awareness among our employees.
• Regular Maintenance: Our experienced technical staff and contractors perform regular maintenance, while our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) professionals continuously monitor and improve our practices. 
• Training and Drills: We organize OHS training sessions, review and update emergency plans, and conduct emergency drills. We ensure that individuals assigned to handle emergencies are prepared and that performance is monitored for continuous improvement.
• Change Management: We manage changes in the workplace through structured change management processes and conduct risk assessments before each operation. We identify hazards, implement precautions for potential risks, and minimize risks to the lowest possible level, considering all stakeholders in our risk-based approach.
• Incident Reporting and Analysis: We record and address hazardous conditions, behaviors, and near-miss incidents, performing corrective actions as needed. We analyze the root causes of accidents, share lessons learned, and communicate best practices through informative bulletins.
• Road Safety and Hazardous Materials: We prioritize road safety for our employees, contractors, and partners, going beyond regulatory requirements to enhance awareness. We ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous materials through necessary measures, continuous training, site visits, and drills.

ENVIRONMENT

Our Goals

Our primary goals are to establish ourselves as a key player in the industry by fulfilling our responsibilities and ensuring that our employees, contractors, and community members are not exposed to any injuries or illnesses resulting from our activities.

Pre-Qualification Meetings: We hold annual HSSE meetings with pre-qualified companies to share experiences from the past year, assess any operational issues and deficiencies, and develop solutions to address these problems.

• Environmental Management: We manage our activities in accordance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and publish our environmental performance metrics in our Sustainability Report. During our planning processes, we consider potential environmental impacts, setting our business plans to achieve results beyond regulatory limits.
• Regulatory Compliance: We ensure full compliance with environmental regulations. We continuously assess environmental risks and opportunities, taking preventive measures to minimize risks. Our environmental management approach and Zero Waste philosophy guide us to implement workflows that prevent or minimize waste, ensuring proper recycling and disposal of waste according to regulations. We separate all types of waste, including plastic, metal, paper, and glass, at the source and deliver them to licensed recycling or disposal companies while continuously monitoring waste quantities.
• Resource Efficiency: To ensure efficient use of resources, we stay updated on technological innovations aimed at reducing energy and water consumption and incorporate these technologies into our operations.
• Environmental Safety: We conduct training, inspections, and drills to ensure environmental safety. We implement necessary safety measures across all our facilities and closely monitor potential risks.
• Awareness and Training: To enhance our employees' environmental awareness, we provide training and conduct activities on World Environment Day, June 5th.
